STDinc

STOT21stCplanB aka Scorpion Thunderbolt of the 21st Century Plan B aka The Jannitor and The Assistant to the Janitor aka Adam Wood and Steve Lowe are responsive artists who set themselves up as an oppositional force.

Through any means necessary they seek meaning in the world by creatively pitching themselves against it to absurd, comic and sometimes, beautiful or moving affect.

Whether decorating a teapot or making paintings, the artists seek to force reaction and revitalise exchange through critical strategies that utilise a vast vocabulary of images, products and imagined realities.

They propose a much needed counterpoint to a meritocratic culture of deference and marketed rebellion. Nothing is sacred, everything is laughable, and they mean it.

OR

STOT21stCplanB hail from a little known place of desolation a little bit north of the east and a little bit east of the north, bang in the middle of nowhere in the big city, or near by. This place is called Fish Island and not many people go there.

Rambunctious, sardonic, dark and full of death are all ways to describe STOT21stCplanB. Annoying, nefarious, and really quite bad have also been used, but not as often as you might think. They also laugh too much.

Flooding, drowning and general water based disaster use to be their favorite themes but recently they've moved on to demonizing innocent birdies and other politics of hate, the destruction of London, more flooding, decorating teapots and lampshades for peoples homes, and making large disturbing paintings.

They use to sell handmade stuff and prints and music on their official website www.STDINConline.com, but in May 2007 they went on art strike in support of James Cauty and destroyed all their interweb commerce. Their site is now under reconstruction and will become a museum and creative resource centre open to all for the benefit of mankind.
